We kick off our fourth season with a conversation with Dean Michael Georgiopoulos, who discusses the growth and the future of the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science, shares how he got into academia and offers words of wisdom for current CECS students.
Meet Michelle Trinh and Nicholas Maxwell, two aerospace engineering students who participated in CECS' first study abroad trip to Barcelona. They discuss the sites they saw, how the trip enhanced their global perspective on engineering and recommend must-see stops for foodies (gyros, anyone?).
In this episode, we chat with Tim Telkamp '91, an electrical engineering alum who is traveling around the world on an 11-month sailing race in honor of his late brother-in-law. Tim's a true renaissance man with a sense of adventure and a spark of creativity. Get to know him and find out how you can follow his global travels through July 2026.

She'll be one of the first students in the aerospace medicine program next semester, so we chatted with her about her future plans and her stellar past achievements (she's only won just a few awards as an undergrad, including the Order of Pegasus. You know....typical stuff).
Meet Natalia Barbour, an assistant professor of transportation and smart cities in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering. Wait, I thought this was a Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering podcast? Not anymore! In this milestone episode, we kick off a new season open to the entire UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science. We chat with Natalia about her research, her viral Tweet and get to know her better through a lightening round of questions.
Join us for an interesting conversation with mechanical engineering major Zoie Taverna, a member of SAE and a champion for women in motorsports. She chats about her recent magazine article, her passion for STEM, her work for SAE and even her experiences in the marching band.
In this episode of Lend Me Your Engineers, we ask the age-old question: What the fudge is floorball? Mechanical engineering major Liam Williamsson is a lifelong player and has competed in world championships across the globe. He breaks down the sport, shares what it's like to compete in the Super Bowl of floorball and talks about the new club he's starting at UCF.
We're back and better than ever! Maybe not better, but we are back with the next season of Lend of Me Your Engineers! In our first episode, meet alumnus Abhishek Sastri '20, the co-founder of Fluix, a company that creates cooling systems for high-performance computers. Find out what new venture Fluix is branching into and how you can get involved (Hint: email info@fluixpro.com). Sastri also throws down the gauntlet and challenges Soarce alum-trepreneurs Mason Mincey '23 and Derek Saltzman '20 to come on a future episode. Ball's in your court, boys.
